Salida Hospital District is Hiring an Admissions Supervisor Near Salida, CO

All offers of employment are contingent upon the successful completion of a negative drug screen test*, criminal background check, reference checks, infection prevention procedures (TB test, Flu Shot, immunization records), and acknowledgement of policies.

Assigned Duties :

  • Prepares work schedules for Registration Staff to efficiently and effectively meet the department and organizational needs.
  • Provides supervisory support and direction to PFS Registration staff.
  • Manages employees by selecting talented people, trains and evaluates them, and ensures they are compliant with hospital policies and procedures.
  • Responsible for compiling QA information, disseminating this information to registration staff, and management, providing retraining and education when necessary.
  • Acts as first point of contact for patients, and PFS Registration Staff, facilitating lines of communication and expedient problem resolution.
  • Troubleshoots process problems and recommends and/or implements corrections or changes for PFS Registration and HRRMC.
  • This position is the primary contact with CPSI to learn and implement registration system best practices..
  • Assists in meeting overall AR Net Days, 50 or less, goal by ensuring accuracy in registrations, timely review and updates of edits identified, working and resolving edit report with various staff and departments.
  • Reviews and revises procedures and/or policies annually as delegated by Revenue Cycle Director.
  • Reviews and finalizes staff time and attendance records for Admissions Staff.
  • Monitors use of sick time and overtime on an ongoing basis and takes appropriate action to ensure the efficient and effective functioning of the department.
  • Reviews all requests for time off for applicable staff and gives approval after ascertaining facility needs will be met.
  • Supervises and instructs personnel in the release of information, policies and practices of PFS Registration and HRRMC.
  • Demonstrates a positive attitude and maintains a positive working relationship with staff, management, and vendors to ensure the admissions goals are optimized and that good working relationships are cultivated and retained.
  • Maintains knowledge of current Medicare, Medicaid and Commercial insurance requirements and provides that knowledge to PFS Registration Staff in order to maintain compliance with local, state and federal requirements.
  • Participates in drills and emergency response training.


EDUCATION

  • Minimum of 5 years leadership/supervisory and 3 year’s medical/healthcare office experience.
